"After signing up for a seven-day $1 pro…"
After signing up for a seven-day $1 pro plan trial from codered.eccouncil.org to see what the courses are like, I canceled the transaction on the third day because I'd seen everything I needed to see. However, to my disappointment, I learned there was no way to cancel or deactivate my card on their website, and I immediately sensed their nefarious plans.
But I persisted in canceling the trial plan on the third, fourth, and sixth days, and I received an onscreen notification that my request had been sent successfully. However, on the eighth day, I received a debit notification in my email informing me that I had subscribed to their one-month plan and $29.99 had been deducted from the account, which I had never done.

The painful part is that I'm not the owner of the card or account they debited; rather, it belongs to a friend, and we only agreed to use $1 of the card when I told her about using it for the transaction in the first place. Since the $29.99 debit, she has been irate and on my case to return her money.
I spoke with their customer service, but they haven't responded with anything encouraging.

If a class action lawsuit is ever brought against the EC Council, I would be interested in participating since they have been dishonest and dubious for a very long time, and it's time to take them down.
For their own protection, peeps ought to stay away from the EC Council.

"Over priced and a scam"
Over priced and a scam! They have no support whatsoever. Whether it be through chat, email or phone no one ever is there to help you! Save your money!

"such a shame"
such a shame , they supposed to be a computing bussiness , and they dont even check or care of trustpilot reviews , i wasnt ever contacted after the review , just i will hire some legal services to make my 2k usd refund from these scammers

"Signed up to a 7 day trial"
Signed up to a 7 day trial, tried to cancel before being charged the full £149 but the website returns an 'unknown error. Support claims to have 'sent my query to another department' which sounds rubbish to me, so will most likely be left having to do a charge back on my card.

Personally, I wouldn't' ever touch this outfit again.

"I had health issues and they refused refund"
I had health issues, right after purchasing a USD1,007 CND qualification in August 2021.
I contacted EC-Council, who refused to provide me with a refund (even after knowing I had accessed the course for 5 minutes, for activation purposes).
Despite that, they asked me to pay an extra USD199, knowing I had health issues and financial issues.
I'm studying and working in Cyber Security, and I'll never use EC-Council again. I live in the U.K., and if this was a United Kingdom company, I would have gotten the refund straight away.
So many companies were and are very understanding during the pandemic, but not EC-Council.
EC-Council think about their clients as a way to make money, not as human beings.

"overpriced and huge technical issues"
I have purchased the bundle deal with 5 courses cost more than four thousands dollars and I have never had problems with an education platform as much as I had with EC-Council.

first of all the bundle gives you 1 year access to the courses videos and 6 months access to the lab for all 5 courses.

if you buy one course, you get the same. so how is it possible to expect students to study 5 courses at the same time duration as one course?!

second the videos are very low quality. the videos load pixilated and you have refresh the page over and over to get the video to work.

when the video finally works, all the main lectures with instructor demonstration while sharing his screens are useless, because the screen is completely cut from the left side and you cannot see what he is explaining.

some videos have very low volume that even with boosting the volume of my laptop with external speakers and professional tool wouldn't help hearing what the instructor says in these videos.

the lab takes ages to load (again think about the time wasted and you only have 6 months lab access for 5 courses).

when you finally load the lab, it most often will not work and the tech support (if you manage to get in contact with them) will tell you to restart the lab with different city.

once you access the lab, then the frustration will begin. The mouse moves extremely slow and it takes ages to perform one click. I ended up making my own labs on my laptop with virtual machines. So labs environment were useless.

when it comes to teaching itself, you will feel that you are in a marathon. Instructors speak very fast and sometimes just read what's on screen with no explanation and then they say "we will see it in labs" and the lab is very shallow task about that particular topic.

Technical support is difficult to reach, not even possible to take screenshot of a video issue to send to them. tech support on chat just closes the chat mid conversation and ignores the student.

"Good work environment and culture"
Good work environment and culture. Teammates are supportive and the management is transparent. There is a huge cafeteria and gaming place for chilling. Company policies are good, I got a chance to wear multiple hats n that helped me get a taste of different roles within the same team.

"we have been working with them for…"
we have been working with them for about 2-3 years now. Philip Blake away gets back to us when we need anything and the system work fine. We also find the EC-Council keeps everything up to date and keep pushing forward.
